Ingredients Breakdown
We ensure that each Nutberg contains the same nutrients as a full meal by only using whole food ingredients. Taste is just as important to us as valuable nutrients. We believe that natural flavors simply taste better, which is why we use whole food ingredients and don’t use any artificial additives in our drinkable meals. Coconut
Coconut serves as a main source of healthy fats in Nutberg. Our dried coconut does not contain SO2 or any other additives. Dried coconut’s age has an impact on its taste, which is why we only use the freshest batches.
Oats
We use oats as a main source of complex carbohydrates. They also contain high amounts of dietary fiber and B vitamins. What makes our oats different is that they are not contaminated with gluten. They are cultivated in fields far away from other crops and processed in gluten-free mills.
Rice protein
With its great amino-acid score, rice protein represents the main source of protein in Nutberg. It is the result of separating proteins from rice with the use of natural enzymes. Nutberg contains brown rice protein, which contains more minerals and vitamins than an ordinary white rice protein.
Almonds
For Nutberg, almonds are a valuable source of healthy fats, proteins, and minerals (for example calcium, potassium, or magnesium). We use almonds from the current harvest so that they are always sweet and soft.
Tapioca
Tapioca serves as a another source of complex carbohydrates and also helps smooth the texture of Nutberg. It is obtained by processing dried cassava root, a South American root similar to potatoes, both in its appearance and nutrient content.
Almond and hazelnut protein
These proteins are created by separating the fat from fresh almonds or hazelnuts. Together with rice protein, they serve as additional sources of protein and also highlight Nutberg’s nutty flavor. This is a result of their distinct taste, which is uncommon for standard protein isolates.
Coconut sugar
Coconut sugar is produced by the caramelization of nectar from coconut palms, which gives it a fine caramel flavor. Besides the flavor, it differs from regular sugar due to its low glycemic index. We add just the right amount of coconut sugar to perfect the taste of Nutberg, but not enough to make the drink overly sweet.
Chia seeds
Chia seeds are seeds from the Salvia hispanica plant, originally from Latin America. Chia seeds are added to Nutberg due to their high content of Omega-3 fatty acids and micronutrients (for instance niacin, iron, calcium, or zinc).
Banana
Real banana is the only ingredient behind our banana flavor. Fresh bananas must be freeze dried in order to be added into our mix; this process eliminates water from the fresh bananas but keeps their taste and nutrients.
Cocoa
Natural cocoa powder brought from the Dominican Republic is the main ingredient in our cocoa flavor. We use real cocoa without additives, preserving its natural taste.
Coffee
To spice up the flavor of Nutberg Cocoa, we also add coffee to it. We use arabica coffee from Central America; it has a more delicate taste and stronger aroma than robusta coffee.
Cinnamon
Cinnamon is both a spice and valuable antioxidant. Inside Nutberg, you can find genuine Ceylon cinnamon, which differs from the standard spicy cinnamon (cassia) due to its mild sweet taste.
Guar gum
Guar gum is a soluble dietary fiber made from beans of guar, a plant similar to an ordinary bean plant. We add a pinch of guar gum to every portion of Nutberg in order to smooth the texture of our drink.
Himalayan salt
A dash of Himalayan salt is added to Nutberg for flavoring purposes. This salt comes from the Pakistani mountains; and compared to standard salt, it has a more delicate taste and a higher content of minerals.
